A man died and two others were injured when a jeep they were travelling in turned turtle at Mahuwan in Parsa district on Thursday morning.The deceased has been identified as Tharu Mukhiya Bin, 47, of Paterwa-7, Parsa.
Bin along with his family members were returning home from Birgunj when the incident occurred, DSP Chakra Raj Joshi of the District Police Office, Parsa, informed.
One of the injured has been identified as Bin’s 15-year-old daughter Kajal Kumari. The identity of other person injured in the incident is yet to be established.
They are undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, SP Joshi said.
Police said that they have impounded the vehicle (BRBR 1P 8554) for investigation while the driver is on the run following the incident.
